Task

Task: Some people believe that secondary schools should replace printed textbooks with tablet computers for all lessons. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

150 words · 140 after removing words copied from the task · 3 paragraphs

Your one priority

AI interpretation – What the AI thinks your text shows. It can be wrong.

One priority to fix first

Extend each body point to reach 250+ words instead of switching to a second idea halfway through the paragraph

Your essay is 140 net words (below the 250-word minimum) because Body Paragraph 1 packs two separate points (classroom distraction and eye health) into one short paragraph without explaining the result of either one.

How to fix it using what the learner already does well

AI interpretation – What the AI thinks your text shows. It can be wrong.

Strength found in the essay

You already include a vivid, specific real-life example from a Hanoi classroom.

Where this essay stops short

Your second point ('Another problem is health') is squeezed into the end of the same paragraph with no example or link back to why paper books should be kept.

The move

Move 'Another problem is health' into its own paragraph, and use your Hanoi school example habit to add one concrete detail and one 'This shows that...' link sentence.

Why this first

Splitting and developing your second reason fixes your paragraph structure, lifts Task Response, and adds the development (and the words) the essay needs on the way to the 250-word minimum.

Second, staring at backlit screens for six hours a day strains adolescents' eyesight. For example, after a full morning of digital lessons, many students experience dry eyes and headaches that make afternoon reading difficult. This shows that printed textbooks remain safer for daily classroom study.

Nowadays, many people think that secondary schools should replace printed textbooks with tablet computers. I disagree with this idea because tablets can distract student in class and harmed their eyesight. First, tablet computers makes student lose focus easily. In my cousin high school in Hanoi, many teenagers secretly play mobile game under the desk when the teacher is talking. Also, notifications from social media pop up all the time, they cannot pay attention to the lesson. Another problem is health. Looking at a bright screen for six hours every day are bad for young eyes. Many students has to wear thick glasses very early. On the other hand, some people say tablets is lighter than heavy paper books, so students do not hurt their backs. However, schools can install lockers in the classroom to solve this weight problem. In conclusion, printed textbooks are still much better for secondary school learners.
