Sample essay (invented)
Task: “Some people think cities should limit private cars in the centre. To what extent do you agree?”
Many people think that cities should limit private cars in the centre. I agree with this idea, because it can make daily life healthier and safer.
First, fewer cars means cleaner air. In my city, children cough often in winter. Also, streets are quieter, so people can walk and talk without noise. Another reason is safety there are many accidents near schools. Parents are afraid.
Some people say shops will lose customers, but I think pedestrians usually stop and buy more, so shops can grow too. In conclusion, limiting cars in the centre is a good policy for most cities.
